Of Youth and Age

When I see the young men play

Young I think I am as they.

And my aged thoughts aside,

To dance with joy I stride.

Come your grace and smile (do) lend me,

youthful and mirthful thoughts (do) attend me!

Age begins, we’ll dance among (the)

Youthful spirits, and be young!

Bring some Wine and fill (about),

Now you’ll see this old man, shake my ass (stout!)

I can dance and tipple too,

And be wild, as well, as you!

Greek Lyric Poet, Anacreon, 6th Century BC

Note: The best wine you’ll find is Barbera Wine …
